Pregnancy @ Week 21 : 4th Check-up

Hello Readers! So sorry for the late update on my last checkup. Two weeks overdue! I actually have written it earlier but its all always unfinished. But its finally done now for your reading….

Today in history we became the very first patient that stepped into the clinic before anyone else. You know what time? 7:15am ocayy! Haha… Because it’s Friday with too many things to be settled in the first half, so we went out early lah…too early pulak tu. Registration counter was still closed and will only open at 8:00am. Plenty of time! But café and coffee house sume pon x bukak lg. Yg ade pon 7e. So we just bought light breakfast and waited until almost 8 and went up to the O&G area again.

Registration starts at 8:00am but consultation usually starts at 9:00am. So we still gotta wait for another hour. But when we were waiting for the registration and pusing2 around that area taking pictures and main handphone, I saw my doctor’s around. Dr. Noor Aini tu..She’s in already. Awalnyerr…

My Peneman @ Ayah! =)

So after the registration, we went to the doctor’s room, even the assistants pon blom ade lg. Fine lah, we’d wait until 9. But then, because the doc has seen us around a few times, she just called us in and proceed with the check-up. Ahh, baikk doctor! Ultrasound machine pon blom on lg. Urine and weight pon blom amek lg. Usually it’s all done before the consultation because of the long waiting list. But she’s willing to entertain us early. Credit! 🙂

It was just a brief session, and this is how my baby looks like at his 20 weeks 😉 :

See the hand is so obvious! Doc asked us to count the fingers. All fives J And then she scanned through all parts making sure there’s no any ‘ketumbuhan’ or anything suspicious. Alhamdulillah, it looks all fine..insyaAllah its fine..Ameen..

The above of my baby that looks like a ‘cloud’ is the placenta (uri). While the black color in the middle is my amniotic fluid a.k.a ‘air ketuban’. My doc said, if the air ketuban banyak, meaning = good. Meaning, ur baby is in a good condition inside and tak sempit.

What makes us smiling even wider this time is that, there was a point, our baby was like facing the screen..so it really looks like he’s looking at us! I can see his eyes, nose, mouth and even ears! Well yea…it’s blurry but we can detect yea we can detect..by instinct :p and with doc’s guidance of course. Because usually we look at him from the side. Now it’s face to face. It’s sooooo sweet! Aww… :’)

Done with the consultation and the next appointment will be one month from now – 10th December 2012. Before we’re off to work, of course I din’t forget my to-do’s that I’ve listed in my previous post.

1) 4D Ultrasound – I read the ads around the clinic area that the 4D Ultrasound will be done by the Radiology department and we got to book for an appointment there at….level one I think. But then, just after the check-up and we’re setting up the next appointment date, the assistant told me that –

“for next checkup, if you want to do normal consultation like this, you may come on Saturday. But, if you want to “ambil gambar baby”, you have to come on weekdays,”

Me : “Ambil gambar baby? You mean the 4D Scan?”

Assistant : “Aaa yes…because that one is not done here (doc’s room). We have to call the ____ (I don’t know what), they will come up and bla bla bla (I don’t catch what she said) and they will take your baby’s picture. But that’s on weekdays only la..and there’s gonna be a separate charges of RM100.”

Hahaha….she calls it “ambil gambar baby” …haha..so funny! So cute! So I reconfirm that we don’t need to go to the radiology department or what and then just set the appointment. Its Monday, 10th December 2012…. OMG I CAN’T WAIT!!! 😀

Done one thing, next is about the Antenatal Class. Okay, this is sad. If I’m not mistaken, no, I AM NOT mistaken that I did see the notice before (since my first visit here) on the Antenatal Class (or they call it Parentcraft Class) here in SunMed – done every month for 3 sessions on the first 3 Saturdays of every month. I didn’t take note but I’m really sure they have it in December and I’ve been planning to attend it in December. But thennnn….now…. I asked them…they said…. “The last session for this year is in November. None will be held in December.”  —- What!! Oh no…  😦

Even for November one, the 1st session has started last week. If I were to slot in, I’ve missed a few topics of the whole course. It’s my first pregnancy…I won’t wanna miss a single thing, no? And worse, the fee is RM300 per couple for all the 3 sessions. But it doesn’t mean it’s RM100 per session. Bcoz if we’re picking only selected session, they will charge us RM150 per session. Meaning, I still got to pay RM300 for only 2 sessions. What a wastee… The personnel suggested me to call the respective department and ask about the openings in 2013. Maybe I can join the January one. But…..hmm…. its kinda late already. There will be topics on pregnancy that my gynae said – the class is to teach you pregnant. So jgn la pergi bile dah nak abis pregnant. See….5-6 months pregnancy is just nice right! See…I’ve well-planned it! Butt….hmm… *upset*.

So I went online and search for classes in other hospitals. I remember Columbia Asia did open Antenatal class and promote it on facebook before…and…I found this! :

It’s on 15th December 2012! Okay, just nice…and I think I got no choice. So I called them right away and booked for two seats. Done!

Well….klu ikutkan hati. I must wanna join the class in SunMed itself. Because I’m planning to deliver my baby there. But what to do..there’s no way for us and also, actually, the class they arrange is quite not-practical and yet, pricey! Here’s the comparison. For one Antenatal course in SunMed, they are arranging 3 classes, done in three weekends in a row. That equals to 12 hours! But in Columbia Asia, with the topics covered are fairly the same, everything is compressed into 3 hours only. What makes it so lengthy in SunMed? Or kat Columbia Asia nie ala2 kadar aje? Hmm… don’t mind lah. I would prefer to attend a more detailed class on this but, that 3 weekends requirement is not that practical. Not practical for the daddy laa especially! So, let’s just take it for one-shot for all. Save time, and save money as well because the fee for Columbia is only RM50! Save RM250 there…plenty! So I’ll definitely update about the class later. Stay tuned! 😉

Oh yea, one more to-do’s! Maternity/delivery package in SunMed – here’s what I got. They just gave an estimation range like this :

For Normal Delivery, 4k – 6k. For Caesarean, 7k – 9k. That would include the room charges and all lah.. Plus/minus. Quite expensive right… *jgn lah kene operate..huhu*. They provided to me the leaflet on the room charges. I’ll post it here soon.

That’s all my updates on my 4th check-up session.

Mom! =)

Update : *My lil’ one inside is 23 weeks old!*

Vitamins for Pregnancy

So far,up until the fourth month of pregnancy, I am only taking 3 types of pregnancy supplements all prescribed by my gynae. Those are Folic Acid, Pramilet and Neurogain.

  • Folic Acid

The first time I called my mom to tell her that I’m pregnant, even before I went for the confirmation check, she mentioned to me to take Folic Acid quickly. To know what Folic Acid is, do google ;). But briefly the purpose is to prevent birth defects such as spina bifida which is a neural tube defect. Haa….important right? You have to take it as early as possible. That’s why it’s also important for us to detect our pregnancy early. As your period overdue, quickly run a home urine pregnancy test. This Folic Acid is actually also a pre-pregnancy supplement. It may help you to conceive? – hehe not sure this one. But its surely good because your baby is protected since the very second it’s developed. I started taking it at my 6th week. At Guardian, it’s only RM0.95 sepapan of 10 pills. I’m still taking this now and if I’m not mistaken my gynae said it will continue until 5 months.

  • Pramilet

Another supplement that I knew I have to take is Obimin. It’s a multivitamin for pregnancy entering the 2nd trimester. But for mine one, my gynae gave me Pramilet. It’s also a multivitamin, just with a different name and brand maybe. I started taking this since my 1st checkup at 10 weeks. For what it contains, kindly search. Point is, it’s a supplement for mothers.

  • Neurogain PB

This is for baby. Baby’s brain development in particular. Neurogain is a fish oil. I (mistakenly) started taking this as early as at 10 weeks of pregnancy. But actually it only needs to be taken starting from the 2nd trimester. It didn’t supply anything to the baby too early. Pls take note. Haha…I thought taking this vitamin is just a self initiative. But no, it’s actually recommended by the hospital. So don’t need to susah2 find it at pharmacy. Oh yea, one thing, because it is fish oil, it has to be taken SEPARATELY from the 2 tablets above. Because it’s oil. It will absord the pills supplement and you won’t gain anything from them. So I took Folic Acid and Pramilet after lunch, and Neurogain at dinner time.

Yeah, that’s all. One of each per day. If you vomit, do retake! If you’re forgetful, do use the pill reminder box like me. Hehe..Yeah, one of the pregnancy symptoms is being forgetful. Many women faced this issue. I don’t know whether I do. Because being not pregnant also I am sometimes (or always) forgetful. Hehe….

Till then, will update you any more medicines I take in future months. Take care!

Pregnancy @ Week 17 : 3rd Check Up (Part 2 – Q&A Session)

  • Issue 1 – Kad Merah Klinik Kerajaan.

Bile pregnant je org akan tanye “Dah buat kad merah?” Or buku merah or kad pink or whatever you call it. I’m engaging a routine checkup at a private hospital and I don’t keep any of my pregnancy record with me. I saw the clinic maintains my details in one file but what’s given to me are only the appointment card, and also the ultrasound printscreen. That’s all. So some said you must have that. Some said not necessarily kad merah but at least any record for reference for any other hospitals in case of emergency (terberanak kat tempat lain plak) you got to be admitted not at your current hospital. Some said if the hospital don’t have specific book, ask a copy of the doctor’s record every time coming for checkups (memandaiiii aje!)

So that was the conflict so I asked doc. Answer – here in SunMed, they don’t give the details to patients. If you wanna go to other private hospitals, just go, no problem. But if you wanna go to GH for delivery, they won’t allow you if you’re without their kad merah. So if you plan to deliver at GH, you must buat your kad merah. If you wanna deliver at other private, kad merah is not necessary. If you don’t have kad merah and you got to be referred to GH, private will provide referral letter. Haaa…. Like that. If if if….

  • Issue 2 – Long distance travelling right after discharged

I lived in Sunway,PJ and am planning to be in confinement at my Mama’s house in JB. If I deliver my baby here in SunMed, would it be ok for me to travel in car for 3 to 4 hours all the way to JB right after discharged? Would it be dangerous? Would it be any bleeding or whatever?

Doc said – ”It’s ok, no problem, yes you can. Many ppl did that anyway. There are even ppl who travel by plane, straight to airport right after discharged. – That is if you have a natural birth (normal).”

But if you go thru caesarean, you have to come back for follow-ups after 10 days. So cannot balik kampong rightaway. Clarified.

  • Issue 3 – Serious dizziness

One of the symptoms in my 4th month of pregnancy is serious dizziness. No more nausea like in the first trimester but I feel dizzy like ALL THE TIME for the past two weeks can you imagine? Ok, not all the time but most of the time, seriously. L And being pregnant I know we can’t simply take any pills/pain killers. Sakit pon, tahan je lah.. so I asked doc and she said it’s all common. Until you reach certain phase of pregnancy it will fade. So now just bear with it, get rest or if you can’t stand it, you can take panadol. Panadol ONLY. The doctor is quite strict on the medication and she again stressed that I can’t simply take any pills/pain killers. Those drugs may defect your baby. Aaaaa takut! It’s ok lah doctor. I would rather just tahan this sakit pening kepala than taking any pills that can be risky. Huhu…

From what I read, as the pregnancy goes on, so does the tummy. The speedy expansion of the tummy (and body weight as well) might affect the way we balance our body because we are adapting with the new centre of gravity of our body. Yeah, that makes sense. Because my tummy has started gaining attention..those who don’t know I’m pregnant can already tell that I am. Other than that, it’s also because of heart that pumps more blood, the blood pressure and so on…so your organs are adjusting with the roller coasters inside. Still, it’s most unlikely that we will be all black-out and fall. Mine’s not until that bad. So just relax….and sabarrr….

  • Issue 4 – Other pregnancy supplements

Because we’re talking about pills restriction and so on, I came to ask her on other pregnancy products (there’s a bunch in the markets and online!). Again, she doesn’t allow her patients to take any other supplements than what she prescribed. Whatever that the hospital gives you is actually enough. Even some of those non-hospital products, got banned! So, clarified. So, xyah lah nak beli2 mcm2 product tambahan kat pasaran tu. We might not know the little possible side effects unless we do thorough research before taking it. I’m not that gigih. But for those whose taking any other supplements, of course it’s all up to individual, yeah? Later in the next post I’ll share with you the only Vitamins I’m taking for my pregnancy.

  • Issue 5 – Weight

What I knew about target of weight gaining during pregnancy is about 0.5kg a week = 2kg a month (+/-). After the fasting month and entering the second trimester, I gained better appetite and started to see my weight increment. Today, I gained 3kg+ from the previous month. Hee…! Doc said she doesn’t observe my weight..she just monitors the weight of my baby. Because I have a small physical so weight shouldn’t be an issue. Only that I have to jump over 50kg within this pregnancy. Ohhh I see….insyaAllah I can reach that in these few months. J

  • Issue 6 – The First Kicks?

Huhu…..this is what playing in my mind lately. When is baby gonna start kicking?? Penat tggu penat concentrate. I saw your legs already but tak kick mom pon? I even asked my hubby to listen at my tummy. Xde pon?? Huhu…

Me, ”Doc, when’s the baby start kicking?”

Doc, “There, its been kicing already. So active.”

Me, “What? But I never feel anything?”

Doc, “It’s not about when the baby starts kicking. It’s when YOU FEEL the kicks.”

Ohhhh……really…. I see…. Aaa…..this is tricky! I think sometimes I feel something inside but is that a kick? How is it actually? Aaaaa I don’t know! Conflict..conflict… hehehe…. It’s okay, take ur time baby. Or I’m the one who should take my time? Because this is my very first pregnancy. So I really don’t know how’s it like.. It’s okay…this is my journey! J According to doc, the latest I should be feeling the kicking is at 24 weeks. So it’s about 7 weeks from now insyaAllah I’ll feel it. Come on baby! Your dad is a good striker so come on, show your talent! :p Kesian baby he must be struggling inside! 😀

Not me. Just gambar hiasan. =p

Yeahh…. That is all the Q&A session in my third pregnancy checkup just for sharing. If you wanna add up anything you know about my confusion, pls do, thank you! 🙂

Pregnancy @ Week 17 : 3rd Check Up (Part 1)

Hello everyone! I just came back from my check-up appointment today. It has been all exciting! Hehe.. x sabar nk cite.

13th Oct 2012 – It’s Saturday. The 1st time check-up that I did on Saturday. My God punye lah ramai org dtg appointment hari Sabtu. Queue for registration pon selang berbelas2 org. Slalu nyer 3-4 org je. But not bad lah..registration je. This time, I came in the morning just for registration because my husband also got another appointment. So I just picked my turn, weighed my body and took my urine. Coming at 8:30am, my turn was number 7! Yg turn number 1 tu dtg pkl 6:30am hagak nyer. :p

But that didn’t matter lah. I left for another errand and came again at 11:40am, waited for 5 minutes and they called me in. Better right??? Save waiting time, save waiting energy, save baby’s energy. :p

Masuk2 je x sempat ddk lg doc ckp “Saleha, your blood is all good, no problem, everything is OK.” Alhamdulillah…! It’s the blood test I did on my previous checkup. As usual, checked blood pressure, ok, and then naik katil! 😀

Bismillah…Start scanning…

Doc, “Wahh…cantik tali pusat die.” Haa…that’s the 1st words. Hehe…tali pusat pon cantik. J Makin lame, makin besar baby ku! Last time, the head was on the left of the screen and the legs belah kanan. But this time, kepala belah kanan, kaki belah kiri. Wahh berpusing2 die kat dalam yer! (Mom’s theory :p) So the doctor measured my baby. Measured the legs, the head’s diameter and also the stomach’s diameter. The measurement is to know the baby’s current size is as its current week. Should be more or less, the same.

Even since the 1st checkup, my baby’s measurement is alwaysss more than the current week. Extra by 3 days like that la.. Whoahh… big baby! Mom makan byk sgt ker?? Hehe…x kesah la kan..xkan lah nk btol2 exact plak! Apelah mom nie..detail! :p But it’s kinda worrying if the baby’s size is too big and it can’t go thru my cervix then I gotta be c-zer! Aaa…takut.. Hopefully not. So far the doctor doesn’t highlight anything yet so keep calm.

My baby….taraaaaaaaaa….! 😀

My Baby ~ 16 weeks 3days 🙂

See, this time, the baby’s head is no more oversized than the body. It’s progressing well. Alhamdulillah..

And then the doctor moved the cursor to……the genital! Aaaaaa!! Yes, at week 14 the baby’s sex organ is already developed and we can see it now. Tapiiii….the doctor x ckp pape ponn….

Mother-to-be’s, do you wanna know your baby’s sex within pregnancy or would you wanna keep it surprised? My answer is definitely, NOW! I wanna know it now! Hahaha…overexcited! And nervous at the same time..huh! Ppl surrounding are neverendingly guessing by looking at my bump, my appearance…which everything is superstitious. Honestly I don’t mind the gender. 🙂

Oh, fyi, even since the day 1 I got to know I’m pregnant, I already have that instinct of my baby’s gender! Seriously! Hehehe…But its not just a blind instinct. I have knowledge and feelings that support my instinct. So it’s guessing game againnn….to know the baby’s gender and to asses my motherly instinct whether its working well or not! Hahha…

And then doctor scanned the other parts and we’ve been questioning….and then…I asked, “So you can see already… it’s Boy? Girl?” (Nak tanye pon takut2! :p)

Doc, “Yea, u want me to tell ya?”

Me, “Aaa…yes..”

Doctor moved back the cursor to its private part“It’s a …. _______”

Tadaaaaa…!!!

.

…..

…….

……….

Eddy Junior or Salz Junior? :p

Hahahaha……can you see???? Captured from the bottom part with the legs up. And the cursor!! Hahha….So, Gegurl?? Bebird?? Ahhh..okay dah! Teka sendiri!! Write ur answer in the comment box 😀

Alhamdulillahhh….. We are so happy and pleased to know that. Can start shopping now!! :p

Done with ultrasound session. Remember the previous checkups I didn’t know what to ask? Ha, this time, I have prepared a list of questionsss! This one month gap left me with full of doubt about this and that. Jadi, bertanyalah pada yg pakar.

But I don’t wanna keep this post any longer. To be continued in Part 2. Ecehhhh :p Thanks for reading!

Update : My Lil Baby inside is 16 weeks old!

p/s : 13th October 2009 was the day my husband and I began to be “in a relationship” status. How remarkable it is when these 3 years have turned us from two become three…Alhamdulillah. Happy Anniversary.

All the excitement…Too Cute! =)

Pregnancy @ Week 12 : 2nd Check Up

My second pregnancy check-up happened on Thursday, 13th of September 2012. Two-week gap from my previous 1st checkup. This time, we came a bit early in the morning and among the first patients. But then, we were informed that the doctor was currently at the labor room and they (the assistants) can’t estimate the time she would finish. So… waiting affair again..

Well, no complaint. My time is coming soon and we don’t know what we are up to. And all that we wish for is the priority towards us at the very critical moment. So now, let other Mommies have theirs.

Mrs. Salz @ 12 weeks pregnant. Slimmm lagi :p

When my turn was up, we went in and the doctor was in her surgery-suit.  Aaa…takut..mcm nak bedah kite jek! This time, the doctor asked me about my medical history..whether I have any illness, been operated before?, been warded? And also my mother’s health condition whether she’s diabetic or not and so on and so forth. So I answered lah… question by question so fast so I don’t know what I answered. Hahah..

And then, peek-a-boo time!! Hehe..I got on the bed and the doctor started scanning. Hey biggie you!! Haha.. At 12 weeks, my baby was estimated at only 5-6 cm long but the fullscreen ultrasound makes it look like a real baby already! We could see the hands and legs now. It’s moving! The doctor really can see what he/she’s doing. She told us that the baby’s hand was at the head, and then he/she moved it down, raised up its legs and all…Quite active! Hehe..

This time, doctor scanned the baby longer. Belek sane, belek sini…took all the measurements. And Alhamdulillah, our baby is in a good condition. Lastly, doc said that there’s no more movement, the baby puts the hands on the lap. “It’s time to rest! Dah2, baby nak rest dah xnak gerak..” Hehe..

Prior to coming for the checkup, I actually spoke to my baby. Telling him/her that we’re gonna have a date tomorrow so pls don’t sleep, Mom & Dad wanna see you moving. Hehe.. maybe he/she did hear what I was saying. So that’s what I’m gonna be doing again everytime we have checkups. :p In the previous 1st checkup,  we saw our baby was like kicking up a storm in there. Melentik2 badan dia… and that moment remain in our mind especially when we talked about the checkup. Sooo momentlicious! I can’t imagine the time when I feel its first kick! Can’t waittt….. 😀

Oh yea, as usual, during checkups your doctor will ask you…any questions? Hmm, somehow, since the 1st checkup, I don’t know what to ask. I read a lot about early pregnancy stage even before I got pregnant. So all the explanation about week calculation, trimester, EDD…dah tauuu…. Cehhh…. =P or maybe I don’t what I don’t know? I also don’t know. Haha..Nak tanye psl delivery kang mcm awal sgt pulak…kan!

Tapi, mcm takkan la taknak tanye pape.. so I just asked..is everything OK? Is the baby OK? The doctor said OK, everything is OK and normal. Hmm…the doctor is not quite elaborative kinda person so that don’t trigger me to ask for more. Huhu..

And then my husband mentioned about susu. Oh yeah, then I asked, “Doc, so far I haven’t taken any milk for pregnancy like Anmum or Mamil…I’m just having HL. Is that OK? Any recommendation?” To my surprise, she said, “Yes, it’s OK. No problem. You don’t need to take any more milk for pregnancy. All the supplements you’re taking now are enough. You can proceed with just HL no problem.” Aaaakk? Confused for a while. Isn’t that common when ppl mentioned about pregnancy, ppl talked about milk. It has been lumrah! And now the doctor is saying differently. Well, I’m somehow happy to know that, because I don’t like milk or even milky drinks. I can only swallow HL. But then again, if I don’t take milk, will my baby lack of calcium? Are the pills really enough? Tapiii….klu dah doctor pakar yg ckp camtu I pon ok je lahhh… so, I decided to not force myself to drink what I dislike. Thank God! Hee…but this doesn’t tell you to stop. If you M2Bs do take milk, it’s of course better! Superstitiously org kate nnt anak jadi putih! Sile lahh….hehe…

Oh, forgot to tell that I did blood test while waiting for my turn. If there’s any problem, the clinic will call me in the afternoon. If no calls then means my blood is OK. And Alhamdulillah, no call!

Now let me show you my baby at 12 weekssss…..!!

My Baby @ 12 weeks 1 day 🙂

My next checkup will be on 13th October 2012. That will be in week 17 already. What’s awaiting? Hopefully everything is still and always in the finest condition….ye anak mom!! Mmmmuah!!

Update : *My Lil One inside is 15 weeks old!*

Stretch Marks

Being pregnant is always associated with food cravings and weight-gaining. With the growing baby inside your tummy, your belly as well will certainly extend to a size you have never been before. Big! Don’t worry, you’ll love it. Looking forward and counting days to meeting your baby, you’ll definitely be happy seeing the bump everyday. Admit it, this is what you do – standing in front of the mirror (sometimes with clothes-off) looking at your tummy from different sides, for minutesss. True? No? Hahha….but that’s what I’m doing! Am I normal?? I think I am. If you don’t, you are the one’s abnormal. Haha…kidding *_”

That’s the exciting part. But… (yeahh…there’s always ‘but’) the baby belly comes in package, called…the stretch marks! M2Bs, are you aware of this? Do you know that childbirth will leave that ‘souvenirs’ on your lovely skin?

To be honest, this is one huge fear I have when I think of pregnancy. The fear if compared with the fear of giving birth, is just as much! Hehehe…what a bluff! Of course la pikir nak keluarkan budak tu lg takut! Hehe.. but that is still a mile away. Now, my tummy is bumpy and this is all my concern goes to coz I’m a stretch marks freak-out! For writing this post, I actually googled some stretch marks pictures to put here as ‘gambar hiasan’. But heyyyy…. Scary giler! Trs x jadi. Klu nak tgk, sile lah search and view sendiri.

So, klu dah takut dgn stretch marks tu, ape lagi! Cepat2 lah beli tummy cream. Btol tak? The only stretch marks cream that I knew available were Bio Oil, and Palmers. These two are famous to me because I always saw them in Guardians and Watsons.

But then, when I read Dr. Halina’s blog (The Astronaut’s wifey – yeah, she blogs and shares a lot about her interesting mommyhood) – its http://www.barelysupermommy.com , she did write a post on Stretch Marks and to my surprise, she recommended a stretch mark oil that she used during her first pregnancy! And amazingly, her whale-tummy left nothing on her skin afterwards! Can you imagine how crazy I was to know that? Definitely I will buy that particular oil for my own!

And….this is it. Earth Mama Angel Baby Natural Stretch Oil.

Pic taken from barelysupermommy.com

Owh, I didn’t know this brand. It’s so unfamiliar. Even some comments were asking where did she buy it. Some said its not available at the regular pharmacy. So I searched online, and found it sold at the Fabulous Mom online shop. They also have a few branches so the one near to my house is Puchong branch. I was really about to go grab that oil straight at the shop. Xnak beli online. But then, weeks by weeks tak terpergi2 pon Puchong tu. Furthermore, there’s a Guardian pharmacy I pass by everyday for work. So one day I dropped by, took a look at the Stretch Marks Oil available and simply grabbed this :

Hope this helps!

Yeah, this is my choice. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks. Comes together with a small pack Massage Cream – I keep this in my handbag. Well, maybe there’s only one particular reason I choose this against Bio Oil. Bio Oil, because it’s OIL. I don’t like oily. I’d also prefer lotion rather than cream. Softer on skin. That is also why I didn’t wait for that Earth Mama Oil. It’s ok. Nobody convinced me about this Palmers but with all my heart, I’m gonna be applying it habitually. Jgn malas! Oh ya, the price is RM38.90 for 100 ml. Could last until delivery yeah?

My own tummy starts showing at my 11th week (2 months plus). I can’t fit my regular pants comfortably. And most of my baju kurungs were made in shape so I can’t breatheee….But my office-wear blouses are still fine and nobody in office notice I am pregnant yet. And I start putting on this lotion at week 13. Hope this helps.

I heard some ppl said that your gene contributes much to the reason of having that stretch marks. Look at your mom’s tummy, does she have it? That mirrors yours! My mama? Haa….jgn cakap la..bkn mama je..my elder sister pon same. Tu yg gelebah ayam nie ble pikirkan perut sendiri. But somehow, that fact is not so reliable. I got friends telling me differently about them. So, masih ade harapan bukan?? Well, I’ll update the result later.

Before I leave this post, just wanna share a thought I got from my sister. For those new mothers who freaked-out about their pregnancy stretch marks. Her doctor said to her lah during her 1st pregnancy. Stretch marks is something you won’t like. It can be reduced by time, but not easy to disappear at all. But, to take it positively, think again of the reason of its existence. Why? It is because you were PREGNANT! That is the mark that will always reminisce the journey you’ve gone thru to becoming a MOTHER. Isn’t that grand? Yeah, so…be happy! Look at your stretch marks and smile. And look at your baby…how sweet!

So now, I’m trying my best for myself. But later, if I see that appears, I will definitely redha and stay positive. Whoahh…being a woman is really adventurous!

Update : My Lil One inside is 14 weeks old!

Me, Preggy

After this, I’ll be talking about the progress of my pregnancy. So now let me so-called officially announce about this, and put some details! Wat pe nak officially announce?? The title above is crystal clear kottt! Hehe..

Yes, I am. I am currently pregnant my very first baby and the moment I’m writing this post, I am currently in my 11th week ~ about 2 and a half months! 😉

Just for the record,

My 1st day of LMP : 20th June 2012

My EDD : 27th March 2013 😉

*LMP = Last Menstrual Period

*EDD = Expected Due Date

The time I knew I’m pregnant, it’s 5 weeks already. That was the most wonderful 25th July in my life! Hubby and I have been married for 5 months and we had the most wonderful time “honeymoon-ing”. I guess this baby’s arrival is just in time! Not so early not so late. =p

And that was also the holy month of Ramadhan. That also means, I completed my fasting dengan pause penuh! Well done, Mommy!! Hehe…That wasn’t easy though! But still, Alhamdulillahh…Syukur sgt!! Terase nikmat nyer.. 🙂

Next, I wanna share about my early pregnancy symptoms, al-kisah home urine pregnancy test, confirmation checkup anddd…pape saje lah. I should go week-by-week right? See how~
